I have lived on the Oregon coast my entire life, and have grown accustomed to the outdoor lifestyle it offers. I grew up surfing on our local beaches, and have spent most of my childhood and adult years exploring the local trails and forests. One of my biggest inspirations for photography has been my father. Growing up, we spent a lot of time outdoors as a family, and he always managed to capture the moment with a camera. So for me, photography has simply become a way of life, a way to capture how I see the world that I so frequently explore.
Joining me on this adventure are my wife Megan, and son Kai. Megan has supported my photography since we met, and actually bought me my first real professional camera. In addition to supporting my dreams, Megan also steps in as a secondary photographer at large events and helps with logistics and editing. I love being able to involve my family on as many adventures as possible, and they are always my favorite subjects to photograph. Now that I have my own son, I want to be able to capture moments that he can look back on later in life.
Originally, I started out doing landscape photography, simply taking images from hikes or scenic drives I had done, and it wasn't until 2013 that I really considered doing events or portrait photos. If you pair my passion for adventure and the outdoors with a desire to capture memories, sharing that with other people was the next logical step.
